Dan Bongino, Cumulus Media syndicated personality, has been appointed as the new Deputy Director of the FBI. President Donald Trump announced his selection of the Conservative talker and former Secret Service agent on social media.
“Great news for Law Enforcement and American Justice! Dan Bongino, a man of incredible love and passion for our Country, has just been named the next Deputy Director of the FBI, by the man who will be the best ever Director, Kash Patel,” posted President Trump.
“He was a member of the New York Police Department, a highly respected Special Agent with the United States Secret Service, and is now one of the most successful Podcasters in the Country, something he is willing and prepared to give up in order to serve,” Trump added.
Dan Bongino ended his podcast and radio show on March 17, 2025, having taken on the job in the Trump administration, but he will still be actively involved in audio. Bongino and his wife, Paula, have launched the media production company Silverloch (silverloch.com), which will debut with their weekday morning podcast Bongino Report Early Edition, hosted by Evita Duffy-Alfonso, and add a new daily evening podcast called Nightly Scroll. It will be hosted by Haley Caronia, a veteran of conservative outlets including Fox News, OutKick, and Newsmax.
